Sk8 Dice are a new way to play S.K.A.T.E. You roll the dice and do what they tell you. Watch how The Berrics play.
The Filmer for city skateboards (Mike Svenson) is looking for footage for new project he is working on. Its a video with parts filmed by different people in different areas. Read the full article here and find out to get involved.
Anthony Poppalardo Is one of my favorite skateboarders. VBS T.V. has just put out a new episode about him. He talks about how he gets footage and how he wanted his part different then any one else’s in Lakai’s Fully Flared. You get to see his personality for one of the first times.
The weekend Local skateboarder Tyler Bledsoe played against P.J. Ladd in the most anticipated game of skate that the Theberrics.com has put on. P.J. Ladd is known for his outrages flat ground tricks and consistency, and also his ability to do anything on a skateboard. Tyler is a new up in comer with not a lot of coverage so people were thinking that he has just going to get murdered. Tyler put up a really good fight getting P.J. 3 letters but ultimately lost at the end. It was the most on going game yet. Game of Skate here.
Colton Mathews, Gabe Luna, and Jake Peschiera got lucky and beat most of the arctic blast by traveling south. They spent a week in San Diego and L.A. They said it was sunny every day and in the 70’s. Not that it matters, because i had way more fun stuck in my house for that week playing call of duty 5……..not really. Any way they came back with a handful of footage. So i took some of there throwaway footage and made this montage.
If you didn’t already notice, the past few weeks the weather has been pretty wet, we had a mild snow storm that defiantly did not stick around , and most of us were defiantly not stuck at our house playing countless hours off Call of Duty 5. All of this poor weather makes it hard to skate outside. Luckily there is a place called The Department of Skateboarding to house all of the people who need a skate fix when weather has them down. Over the past few weeks theres been a lot of skateboarding going on. Check out these montages.
So last Friday was the Department of Skateboarding annual Holiday Havoc. It was pretty epic, it was alot to take in. There were 3 divisions, 14 and under, 15 and over and pro/am sponsored. The heats were 6 minutes long and divided up so 5 people would skate at a time in the style of a jam format. I was there the whole time but unfortunatly cannot remember who won everything. I know that Colin Crespino got 2nd in the 15 and over. Other then that the places didnt really stick with me. However, at the end there was a best trick contest and I remember who won that. Erik Billups got first with a back side flip nose grind immediately followed by a switch stance 3 flip down the big 3. Josh Gibson got 2nd place with a switch stance inward heel flip down the big 3. Even though i didn’t remember everyone who placed in the contest doesn’t mean it wasn’t good, every one was ripping.
The all new Slap Magazine (which tottaly ripped off my site for a background, see my site here) Has posted a Portland video on there “One in a million” trip. This video shows alot of spots that are really close to the convention center (you might know where that is). See video here.
